Why We Built This

We got tired of tipsters with no transparency. Big claims, no receipts. We wanted to build something different — a platform where every single pick is tracked, every result is public, and the model behind it is explained in plain language.

project variis was born from a simple idea: what happens when you combine a quantitative model with genuine rugby league knowledge, and hold yourself accountable for every call?

The Model

Our model blends historical NRL data with live form indicators. It analyses completion rates, metres gained, defensive structures, field position, and player-level performance to generate fair odds for every match.

But we don't blindly follow the numbers. Every pick goes through a panel review — two sets of eyes, real footy knowledge, and a gut check before anything goes live. That's the 50/50 — half model, half panel.

When our fair odds diverge significantly from the market, that's where the value sits. We only publish picks where the model identifies a meaningful edge.

Full Transparency

Every bet we publish is tracked in our Bet History tab — date, odds, stake, result, and running balance. No hiding losses. No selective memory. If we have a bad week, you'll see it.

We started with a $1,000 bankroll at the beginning of the 2026 season. You can follow every dollar from day one.

Who We Are

Two mates who both work in finance, with a shared obsession for rugby league. Our day jobs taught us that some markets are more efficient than others — and when we started looking at NRL betting markets through that lens, we found genuine inefficiencies that the bookmakers weren't pricing correctly.
